Traditional sheet metal caps used on rooftop sleepers are just water shields. They have no structural value. When equipment is fastened, the attachment is to the wood sleeper under the cap. Unfortunately, to do that the water tightness of that cap has to be compromised by bolting through it.
DryCap™ takes a different approach altogether. Equipment is attached to the T-slots in the top of the DryCap™, eliminating the need to penetrate the watertight barrier.
By using heavy duty internal cleats, thousands of pounds of load can be applied to the DryCap™ system, making it capable of supporting large HVAC units or even roof screens.
